Perth, Australia. Proteus Engineers announced today the consolidation of its Australian operations in Perth under the banner Tetra Tech Proteus.
Under the new banner, Tetra Tech Proteus will continue to provide mining and engineering services to its large Western Australian client base with the same management team but with enhanced capability and service offerings through the Tetra Tech global centres of excellence.
The integration comes after Tetra Tech acquired mining engineering company Proteus EPCM Engineers in August 2011 as part of Tetra Tech’s expansion strategy to break into the lucrative Asian and African markets.
“This has been a great relationship and it has been a benefit to our clients and our people,” says Lachlan Walker, President of Proteus Engineers. “Our traditional customer base, particularly iron ore, precious and base metals, gold, mineral sands, and aluminum has benefited from the access to the enhanced capability provided by the Tetra Tech group”.
