Proteus continues at Boddington Gold (Newmont) with Sustaining Capital Services Contract
Proteus has undertaken around $120m of plant infrastructure works on an EPCM basis for the $2.5b Boddington Gold Mine Project, located near Boddington, WA.Works include the Water Management System (circa $40m) and Residue Disposal Area (circa $80m).
The water Management System involves 7 pump stations and a total of 40 kilometres of pipelines to deliver, 3000 cubic metres of water per hour to the gold processing plant from a catchment of 20 km x 15 km in area.
The Residue Disposal facilities involve major pumping facilities including a booster station to convey residue slurry from the plant to residue dams.
These EPCM's were successfully completed and the mine commissioning in 2010.
Proteus continues to undertake various sustaining capital projects for the Newmont team based in the minesite.
